Within TEDxCSUF they are four executive leaders responsible for guiding the organization’s success and initiatives. Executive Leadership is present at all meetings and address the concerns of all members and teams to keep TEDx running smoothly. They preside over any issues that may arise and make sure the teams are able to complete their tasks.
The Communication team sends emails to the club members as well as anyone who is in search of information. They will direct any inquiries received by the organization to the correct people who can provide information. They play a key role in recruitment and help reach out to faculty and professionals as well as assisting with any communication-related tasks.
Our Social Media teams for both organizations are responsible for managing an Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter Page. They create posts for the organization bi-weekly either using photos from a photographer or online resources. They also assist with any online or digital representation of the organization as needed.
Writing Consultants have good writing and reading skills in order to proofread and assist speakers in the development of their speeches. They also assist the president in the application process to help write out summaries and take notes of all potential speakers during audition. They will also assist with any writing or editing tasks as needed.
The Treasurer handles all financial affairs and budgeting of the organization. They maintain AS Agency Accounts in the organization’s name, which requires signatures of the Treasurer, President and Advisor. This is a mandatory position for all student organizations and is responsible for managing finances, documenting all expenditures, holding money, and deal with any issues relating to finances.
The Graphic design team is held by Britney and Tamara for both TEDx and Titan Talks. They are responsible for helping maintain the website, providing designs for flyers, ticket, t-shirts, and logos. They are also required to deal with any visual or image creation as needed.
This position will be for helping speakers with their presence on stage as well as managing the logistics backstage on the day of the event. They will be present for most audition and help record the roster of speakers including their ideas. Additionally, they keep track on the speaker's progress through the event. To assist their role, the theatre coordinator also manages records for all correspondence in the organization.
This role works very closely with the Graphic Design department and is in charge of being the full architect for the TEDxCSUF website. They correspond with the graphic design team as well as social media in order to develop and maintain a working website to represent the organization.
On-campus at CSUF, there are multiple Inter-Club Councils that are responsible for distributing funds to clubs and organizations associated with certain colleges or values. TEDxCSUF is on the board of the Communications Inter-Club Council and the Business Inter-Club Council. Our representatives respectively act as a voice for our organization during council meetings and speak on behalf of TEDxCSUF when requesting/offering input on budgeting.
